What I realized in posting these preview images, is that they seem to make the film much more exciting than I think they really are. While five minutes may seem like a very long time (especially when you have to animate it), the truth is I'm finding out is that it barely gives any time for big story events to play out. Once you've scripted the establishing shot and first act event that sends the story rolling, you probably only have 3 minutes left to develop the story, reach a climax, and wrap it up. I've learned a lot about what to include and what to shorten, and I'll probably learn more as the episodes continue.
They've given me a tentative date of Friday for the film to be posted, and I will certainly make sure to post that link here when they do!

I'm excited! These look awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to it. I love the message you try to get across. I still remember it. While to me it's not easy to get outside and do something, I will definately keep my offline social life as high as possible.
ReplyDeleteHowever I discovered that with skype I can talk with my brother and play games with him and his friends online. It's great.
i really love how you do those 'speakonia robot voice' things for 'noobs' in the game. it's always hilarious.
I think a good joke would be with the Fm channel 1. Where it's so overcrowded with every player screaming that your computer almost freezes while trying to get across.
That and perhaps the talking of boss monsters and how they make you feel bad for killing them.
Those are my two stones for ideas and feedback. I laugh every time I watch the videos. this really rarely happens when I watch a video by myself. so keep up the good work!!
